About Us

It Takes A Village (iTAV) App recognizes the unique and time-consuming challenges of 200,000 Ontario based caregivers navigating Dementia care. As Dementia symptoms advance and new behaviours with long-term impacts surface, easily accessible solutions are needed quickly.  iTAV provides solutions and effective tips to assist in facilitating a rich and full life for aging adults.

Founder's story

Baycrest Research Assistant Chanile Vines was inspired to help others after caring for her grandmother who suffered from Dementia.  She created iTAV (It Takes a Village): an app to help caregivers of persons with Dementia by providing them with accessible care solutions, a support network, and effective tips to assist in facilitating a rich and full life for aging patients.


iTAV Community Development


iTAV mandate is to create Dementia friendly

communities across the globe.

We work with international organizations to deliver community- based support and services through local action for those living with, or affected by, dementia.
